How to set up your phone and internet?

Australia has two large Telcom providers: Telstra (market leader) and Optus. Besides that there are a large number of telecom services providers, who offer packages with mobiles and broadband. Usualy if you are after broadband internet you can get the phone line for free or a very small fee.
